Slow Food Cycle 2017
Slow Food Cycle Sunday is a 45 kilometer / 28 mile cycle up and down Pemberton Meadows Road.
Over 600 people stopped at Blue House Organics during their cycle. Snowline Catering served tacos prepared with our farm fresh vegetables. The farm stand was filled to the brim with delicious produce for purchase. Our guests were invited to tour the farm, play a giant lawn version of Jenga, take a run at our Slip and Slide and a dunk in the swimming pool. It was such a fun day.
Blue House Organics had the honour of being represented at the Oyster Shucking Contest hosted by Bearfoot Bistro at the 2017 Cornucopia! We donated an array of fresh winter vegetables and herbs that the bistro then turned into a delicious seasonal salad. (Look for similar Winter salad recipes here). Our table quickly turned into the hub of veggie lovers who were delighted to learn about our holiday harvest box gift and our cozy farm stay. The event was quite a culinary celebration, we are so happy to have been a part of it!
